In the 94th minute, pure elation erupted for Chelsea and caretaker boss Calum McFarlane as Enzo Fernández bundled in a last-gasp equaliser. The goal left Pep Guardiola howling at the heavens and handed the temporary Chelsea manager a unforgettable moment. On paper, Guardiola versus McFarlane was the Premier League's most pronounced managerial mismatch, making the recollection of Fernández's crucial intervention one to cherish the 40-year-old throughout his career.

A Glaring Contrast in Experience

On the City bench stood the most decorated manager of his time, a man with an unparalleled CV for football's giants Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, taking charge of his 1,012th match. In the opposite technical area, was a one-time trainer at lower-league sides Croydon and Whyteleafe, who had served in City's own academy and stepped up to make his senior managerial bow after being seconded from his regular role overseeing Chelsea's youth teams.

Factoring in a host of absences, headlined by Chelsea's important midfielder Moisés Caicedo (suspended) and goalkeeper Robert Sánchez (injured), McFarlane's task started out as a mission that seemed Mission: Impossible.
