I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
