In a unexpected crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.

The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Unique arms
• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
